Tasting notes
Another expressive Pinot Noir, the 2015 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard offers lots of cranberries, forest floor, sassafras, and spice aromatics, medium to full-body, plenty of texture, and a great finish. This beauty has lots to love. As with the majority of these releases, it was completely destemmed and spent 11 months in barrel.

Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar has a gorgeous perfume of violet and rose hip tea with suggestions of cinnamon toast over a core of kirsch and wild strawberries. Medium-bodied, silky and with a great intensity of fresh red berries, it finishes long with some earthy nuances coming though. 516 cases were made.
Brilliant ruby-red. Ripe black raspberry and cherry cola aromas are complemented by suggestions of exotic flowers, Indian spices and woodsmoke. Plush, sweet and seamless on the palate, offering densely packed red and dark berry and cherry liqueur flavors that become more energetic with aeration. In a rich but impressively vibrant style thanks to its core of juicy acidity. Finishes silky, focused and extremely long, delivering building spiciness and smooth, harmonious tannins.
