Score 88/100 · Robert Parker, Jun 2012

Earthy, blueberry and raspberry fruit intertwined with hints of mountain laurel and bay leaf emerge from this Cabernet Sauvignon blended with a tiny dollop of Petit Verdot. The color remains a healthy dark ruby/purple and there is still some tannin to shed, but this medium to full-bodied 2002 is set for another 15+ years of cellaring. While it is neither exciting nor inspirational, it is a very good to excellent wine from Spring Mountain. Tel. (707) 967-4188
