Score 92/100 · Drink 2005-2013, Robert Parker, Dec 2005

The 2003 Zinfandel Forchini Vineyard exhibits a dense purple color, big, gamey, sweet, briery fruit, full-bodied, powerful flavors, and a huge finish. A big, in-your-face style of Zinfandel, it should drink well for 5-8 years. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546

(16.2% alcohol) Deep medium ruby. Brooding aromas of black fruits, ripe raspberry, earth and oak; a bit more typical of zinfandel than the Feeney bottling. Sweet, generous and pliant, with great depth of fruit. With its slightly more open-knit texture and lower acidity, this comes across as a tad warmer than the other 2003 zinfandels at this address. Finishes broad and dry. All three of these bottlings are from vines at least 90 years old.
