Tasting notes
Moderate levels of sweet and sour cherries, currants, minerals, and earth are present in the restrained, perfumed, elegant, dark ruby-colored 2000 Zinfandel Vineyard 101 (125 cases). For a Larry Turley/Ehren Jordan offering, it plays it close to the vest. Tel. (707) 963-0940; Fax (707) 963-8683

Medium dullish red. Cherry, raspberry, dark chocolate and a meaty note on the nose. Supple and fat on entry, then a bit less sweet in the middle than on the nose and the wine's 16.6% alcohol would suggest. Rather cool flavors of strawberry liqueur and mint. Slightly dry on the finish.
