Tasting notes
Medium red. Red fruits, spices and pepper on the slightly diffuse nose. Palate shows more pepper and spices than primary fruit. Dry and not especially pliant, with a slight green edge accentuating the wine's hardness.

From Alexander Valley, the 2003 Zinfandel Vineyard 101 is a tiny lot of 200 cases tipping the scales at 15.4%. This vineyard, planted in alluvial, loamy soils, provides classic Zinfandel characteristics of briery fruit, freshly ground pepper, and hints of Allspice, plum, and berries. Elegant, medium-bodied, and one of the most feminine 2003 Turley Zinfandels, it should drink well for 5-6 years. (Release date 4/05) Tel. (707) 963-0940; Fax (707) 963-8683
