Score 88/100 · Drink 2015-2030, Robert Parker, May 2011

Rugged, gritty tannins give this wine a youthful, masculine mouthfeel and kept my score low since there is little hope that they will ever be completely resolved. Nevertheless, there is a lot to like about this big, deep, mountain-styled Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses a dense ruby/purple color as well as abundant earth, chocolate, roasted herb and black currant characteristics. Although somewhat of a gamble, readers who like firm, macho-styled reds will rate it higher than I. For my tastes, it needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years and drunk over the following 10-15 years.
