More blueberry, black raspberries, spice box, candied violets, and orange blossom notes emerge from the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Pellet Vineyard, a stunning, straight-up gorgeous 2013 that does everything right. With remarkable purity of fruit, full-bodied richness, sweet tannins, and a pure, multi-dimensional texture that builds on the palate, it reminds me a great vintage of Ducru Beaucaillou and tastes like the essence of Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink it any time over the coming 20-25 years or more.

A beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon from Quivet, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Pellet Vineyard shows gorgeous blueberry and blackberry fruit, sweet tannin, a full-bodied mouthfeel and terrific purity and texture. This is a big-time winner and should continue to drink well for another 15-20 years.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Pellet Vineyard, from a site on the St. Helena valley floor, is deep, powerful and very ripe. Sweet red cherry, plum, spice, mint and new leather are some of the signatures. This is another forward, super-ripe Cabernet Sauvignon from Quivet.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Pellet Vineyard is once again super-expressive in its floral, savory overtones. Nuanced and delineated in the glass, the 2013 impresses for its balance and class. Sage, tobacco, plums, black cherries mint and licorice are some of the many notes that are laced into the finish. This is another striking Cabernet Sauvignon from Quivet.
