Full medium red. Cherry, raspberry, mocha and coffee on the nose. Tight and savory, showing more saline and oaky character than the village offering. There's a silkiness to this premier cru but it's showing more soil tones than primary fruit. The vines here are now about 30 years old, according to Landanger.

The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny les Feusselottes 1er Cru has a much more reserved, masculine bouquet compared to the Chambolle Charmes ’13, only reluctantly opening its doors to reveal orange sorbet and dark cherry aromas. The palate is very silky on the entry, the oak a little dominant at the moment, although there is sufficient fruit to carry that over. It feels long and tender in the mouth, plus there is plenty of energy and structure to suggest it will give pleasure over two decades once bottled.
