The 2013 Cabernet Franc is another killer wine from this estate. Incorporating 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and brought up all in new French oak, its reveals an inky purple/black tinged color as well as a to-die-for bouquet of black cherries, smoked herbs, licorice and graphite. Full-bodied, concentrated and seamless, yet brilliantly focused and pure, it’s a sensational Cabernet Franc to drink over the coming 10-15 years. Bravo!

The 2013 Cabernet Franc, which is 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, offers up gorgeous juiciness, and despite being aged in 100% new oak, shows little evidence of it. The wine has loads of lead pencil shavings, forest floor, blueberry and black raspberry fruit as well as lushness and full-bodied opulence. This is a killer Cab Franc to drink over the next decade

The 2013 Cabernet Franc has developed into a deep, unctuous wine. Mocha, chocolate, spice, new leather and cedar are some of the signatures. The gravitas of these 40 year-old vines comes through loud and clear, but there isn't a ton of varietal character. Even with all of its considerable beauty, the Sinegal Franc is really more a wine of place than variety.

Sinegal's 2013 Cabernet Franc is terrific and arguably the best wine in the lineup at present. Iron, smoke, pomegranate, blood orange and smoke meld together in a powerful, intense wine full of personality. Distinctly ferrous notes add complexity over time. The 2013 is bold and beautifully nuanced. It also has the most freshness and delineation of the three wines I tasted.
