Moderately saturated medium red. Quite reduced and smoky on the nose. Broad and sweet in the mouth, displaying impressive volume but not yet filled in or delineated. Finishes tannic, classically dry, broad and long, but I find this extremely difficult to assess today. My score is meant as a rough approximation of the wine's quality.

The 2010 Echézeaux fleshes out beautifully on the palate with layers of seamless, totally integrated fruit. All of the elements meld together with supreme grace, making it hard to pick out the specific components. A deep, implosive finish laced with dark fruit, cassis, spices and minerals stains the palate. This is a fabulous showing.

Mid cherry red. Very slightly reduced. Sweet start and crunchy fruit. Very dense. Very positive. More concentrated than the DRC Échezeaux 2010 tasted this morning! Pretty impressive. Lipsmacking and with masses of potential. (JR)

Good dark red-ruby. Complex aromas of cherry compote, red licorice, white pepper, camphor and lilac. Suave and delicate, with lovely cut to its red fruit and floral flavors. In a much more feminine style than the Malconsorts. Finishes fine-grained and long, with a distinctly silky texture.
