Somehow simultaneously juicy and introvert on the nose. The palate is complex, dark fruited, exotically spicy – this is sensationally complete, balanced village Vosne. (AH)

(50% new oak): Healthy bright red. Raspberry, black cherry and a hint of stone on the slightly reduced nose. Juicy, tight and a bit dry-edged; extremely closed today for a village wine, with pepper and spice notes contributing to its very primary character. Finishes a tad tart but lively, with a note of bitter chocolate and good length.
