Cask sample. Sweet and easy but not that interesting. (JR)

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from the usual parcels in Les Communes and Barreaux. Pressed violet and iris flower on the nose, this unfurls naturally in the glass without making a fuss. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins on the entry, black and red fruit, saline and almost briny towards the finish. Bit of Morey-like backbone here.

Deeper and more muscular than its Nuits-Saint-Georges counterpart, the 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village wafts from the glass with aromas of wild berries, spices, vine smoke and soil. Medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy, with powdery tannins and lively acids, it's a strong effort.
