Very ripe aromas of apricot, clove and nut oil; more advanced than I would have predicted following my tasting from barrel a year ago. Plenty of density and acidity here but the two components have not yet integrated. Best today on the rich, sweet, tactile finish, where the nutty note recurs. (Incidentally, I tasted a tired 375 ml. and a 750 ml. bottle of the Meursault Perrieres and found even the standard bottle to be showing nut skin suggestions of incipient oxidation.)

Pale color. Knockout nose combines juniper berry, menthol, linden tea, wildflowers, ginger and nutmeg. Then supple, plump and accessible on the palate, but with plenty of lift to its menthol and floral flavors. The wine's sweetness and acidity are not quite in harmony today, but one gets the impression that this will give early pleasure.
