Score 94/100 · Drink 2025-2034, Josh Raynolds, Dec 2022

Saturated violet color. Highly expressive, mineral- and spice-accented red and dark berry preserve, floral and olive scents show excellent definition and a hint of smokiness. Unfurls steadily on the palate, which offers sweet black raspberry, blueberry, olive paste and allspice flavors and a strong snap of black pepper. Well-knit tannins add grip to the finish, which lingers with strong, mineral-driven tenacity.

Vibrant black/blue fruit, floral and spice qualities on the incisive nose; a suggestion of olive arrives with air. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering sappy cassis, cherry and blueberry flavors and a spicy touch of black pepper. A violet note clings on the persistent finish, which is given grip by fine-grained, even tannins.
