The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The O.G. is another elegant wine, with ripe darker currants, tobacco, dried herbs, and flowery incense. It's complex and has fine, ripe tannins, fabulous balance, and outstanding length. As with all of the 2017s from Carter, it has a Bordeaux-like feel in its weight and structure.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The O.G., made from 100% clone 337 Cabernet, is perfumed, lifted and bright, with more of a red/purplish fruit profile than the other To Kalon Cabernets in the range. Exotically ripe, with silky tannins and soft contours, The O.G. is also one of the most approachable and inviting wines in the range today.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon The OG is a bit closed and broody to begin, unfurling to reveal baked plums, warm cassis and blackberry pie scents with hints of sautéed herbs, licorice, salami and Sichuan pepper. Medium to full-bodied, it has softly played tannins and bags of savory flavors, finishing on a peppery note.
