Tasting notes
Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville displays a deep garnet-purple color. It races out of the glass with vivacious notes of plum preserves, blueberry pie and warm cassis plus hints of hoisin and exotic spices. The palate is full-bodied and packed with layers of spice-accented black fruit preserves, framed by firm, finely grained tannins and lively freshness, finishing long and minerally. 125 cases were made.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon checks in behind the 2016 yet is nevertheless a brilliant wine. All Cabernet from Oakville and aged 20 months in new barrels, it boasts a rocking bouquet of plums, blueberries, violets, and dark chocolate. This carries to a full-bodied effort that shines for its beautiful purity, ripe, polished tannins, and great overall balance. I suspect 2-4 years of bottle age will do it well and it should evolve for 20 years or more.
