Light red. Spicy red berries, cherry skin and white pepper on the nose. Redcurrant, pomegranate and wild strawberry flavors are taut and focused, with a subtle licorice quality gaining strength with air. A tight, no-fat wine that finishes with tangy red berry and blood orange notes and sneaky persistence.

The light ruby color of the 2006 The Bohan-Dillon Pinot Noir offers up notes of sweet cherries and underbrush. The wine is medium-bodied, fresh, and not dissimilar to a generic Cotes de Beaune. Drink it over the next 1-2 years. Tel. (707) 847-3600
