Tasting notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Hourglass Estate is a bigger, richer wine that comes from the estate on the northern edge of St. Helena. Killer notes of cassis, blueberries, scorched earth, burning embers, and candied violets give way to a concentrated, full-bodied, powerful wine that has the classic 2021 mid-palate while staying lively, vibrant, and elegant. It's another wine from this lineup that can be drunk today or cellared for 20-25 years.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is silky, delicate and notably light on its feet for such a racy wine. The 2021 is attractive but also a bit light in mid-palate and overall structure. I would have liked to see more depth. This is an outlier in the Hourglass range. Hard candy, Kirsch, cinnamon and wild flowers linger.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate was made, but I did not taste it.
