Tasting notes
This is so intense on the nose and palate, with grilled dried seaweed, muscle shell, iodine, dried strawberry skin and orange peel. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a fresh and vivid finish. Fantastic and so Sonoma Coast. Drink or now.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Estate Yu-ki is quite a bit more powerful than most wines in the range. Berries were small, and that resulted in an unusually potent Pinot from this site. Readers will have to be patient, as the Yu-ki will need a few years at least to unwind. This cool, windy site yields Pinots of distinction, but also with a certain feeling of austerity that is especially evident in 2019. Give this a few years to come around.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Yu-Ki Estate is rock-solid, with a classic nose of framboise and ripe cherry fruits as well as sappy flowers and bouquet garni nuances. It shows some salty, sea breeze-like nuances with time in the glass and is medium-bodied, with a pure, elegant texture, nicely integrated acidity, and a good finish.
