Tasting notes
Deep ruby. Black fruits, pepper, meat and soy sauce on the nose and palate, all lifted by a violet topnote. Then drier in the mouth than the nose would suggest, and joined by notes of black olive and truffle. A bit ungiving on the back end.

Less impressive because of high acidity is the 2006 Petite Sirah Turley Estate. I don’t know why this wine comes across as so tart, but it does. Nevertheless, there is beautiful fruit. It is a medium to full-bodied wine, but you’ve got to like acidity to grasp all the pleasures that this wine is likely to offer, and not for another 7-10 years. (Not yet released) Tel.
