Tasting notes
A deep magenta purple, the 2022 Pato Heritage Wine comes from the warmer side of Contra Costa and includes more Petite Syrah. It initially shows a more primary profile on opening, offering notes of crushed mixed berries, candied violets, and apricots before revealing darker tones of mocha and anise. Medium to full-bodied, it expands on the palate with ripe tannins and takes on more opulence and richness with a great, supple texture. Drink 2025-2036.

The 2022 Pato Heritage unfurls slowly in the glass to reveal scents of blackcurrant, blueberry, violet, aniseed and iron. The full-bodied palate features generous, crunchy blue fruit and alluring floral tones. It’s structured by pleasantly chalky tannins and juicy acidity and has a long, perfumed finish.
