Tasting notes
Pale ruby-purple, the 2019 Fundamental Pinot Noir has aromas of red berries, iron, forest floor and mushrooms. The light-bodied palate is bright and juicy with a great balance of earth and berry fruit, and it has a long, earthy finish.

While labeled as Central Coast, I'd wager the majority of fruit for the 2019 Pinot Noir came from Santa Barbara County. This medium ruby-hued effort offers a spicy, gamey bouquet of mulled red and black fruits, forest floor, spice, and loamy earth. Medium-bodied, fruit-forward, and beautifully textured, it's a smoking value that would make one heck of a house red. Enjoy bottles over the coming 2-4 years. Value and over-delivering are the name of the game with these Fundamental Wines, which are made by Joey Tensley. While these aren’t huge production wines, quantities are such that you should be able to find them in the market. They’re well worth tracking down, and at these prices, they’ll make awesome weekly drinkers.
