2011 Domaine Lignier-Michelot Morey-Saint-Denis Chenevery 1er Cru

Good deep red. Spicy aromas of black cherry, cassis and licorice; there's something almost cabernet-like about the nose and yet it's more expressive today than the Faconnieres. Dense and sweet on the palate, with lovely saline minerality lifting the flavors of black fruits, violet and pepper. Calcaire-driven wine with a palate-saturating yet weightless texture. Finishes juicy, savory, stimulating and long. Superb potential here.
