Dark violet color. Pungent aromas of black and blue fruits, olive and candied licorice, with a sexy overlay of candied flowers. Broad, penetrating blackberry and boysenberry flavors show a suave, smoky quality and pick up star anise and bitter chocolate qualities with air. Finishes long and sweet, with a whiplash of violet and excellent persistence.

Opaque purple. A wild, highly perfumed bouquet of dark berry compote, incense, violet and olive tapenade. A smoky quality emerges with air and carries on the palate, which offers sweet blackberry and boysenberry flavors and a strong note of floral pastilles. Very fresh, with tangy acidity adding cut to a long, sappy finish.
