Tasting notes
(100% destemmed): Good medium red. Tight, rocky aromas of bitter chocolate, licorice, iron and tobacco. Juicy, tight and nicely balanced, with a subtle sweetness suggesting that this wine will require a few years to reveal itself more fully. Finishes savory and dry, with building tannins.

A very ripe nose of black raspberry liqueur and warm earth nuances where the latter character also suffuses the exceptionally rich flavors that ooze a plenitude of dry extract that renders the otherwise firm tannic spine almost invisible at present. This is an overtly powerful and muscular effort that is classy, harmonious and impressively persistent on the impeccably well-balanced finish. Terrific and very Santenots. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*
