The 2016 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge is a beautiful effort that has richness as well as elegance. Plenty of honeyed citrus and white flower notes, bright acidity, medium body, and a building sense of minerality on the finish all define this terrific Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. It’s brilliant today and will be brilliant in 5 years as well.

The 2016 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge comes leaping from the glass with gregarious lemon peel, ripe grapefruit, tangerine and green guava scents with hints of wet slate, lime juice and honeysuckle plus a touch of brioche. Medium-bodied and very finely crafted, with great elegance, it delivers a beautiful quiet intensity and long chalky finish.

The 2016 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge is an intriguing wine, especially in its structural, phenolic feel. The candied lemon peel, white flower and mint flavors are rendered with considerable power in a Chardonnay that is exotic, alluring and full of nuances that will only fully emerge with bottle age.
