Tasting notes
Very lively and sweet and almost over the top it’s so rich! I don’t think I could manage a second glass of this. A little bit oily. (JR)

Deep straw-gold color. Full-blown aromas of peach nectar, butterscotch, lichee and tropical fruits, with hints of toast and hazelnut; showed livelier stone fruits as it opened in the glass. Dense and opulent, but with good energy to the tropical fruit, apricot, lees and vanillin oak flavors. Revealed fresher peach and nutmeg notes with aeration without losing its glyceral texture. Holds its shape on the back end, but finishes with a slight phenolic edge.
Staglin’s non-malolactic Chardonnay (just under 1,000 cases produced) has been hugely popular with consumers. The 2007 Chardonnay Estate exhibits plenty of crisp apple and pear-like fruit, a hint of honeysuckle, very good acidity, and surprising body as well as density. It should drink well for 2-4 years.
