Tasting notes
Another Anderson Valley offering made from Dijon clones, the 2007 Pinot Noir Toulouse Vineyard reveals a light ruby color along with scents of cranberries, boysenberries, and a hint of blueberries intermixed with a slightly herbaceous character. Exceptionally charming and endearing in the mouth, with a velvety personality, no hard edges, decent acidity, and sweet tannin, this elegantly styled Pinot can be drunk over the next 3-4 years. Tel. Dark red. Powerful aromas of dark berries, cherry-cola and smoky minerals. Palate-coating red and dark berry preserve flavors display impressive depth, picking up candied licorice and a hint of rose pastille with air. A big, fleshy pinot that will stand up to richer red meat dishes. The clinging finish leaves a touch of warmth behind.
