Tasting notes
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (only 49 barrels produced) gives up impressive blue fruits (cassis, blueberries) to go with medium to full-bodied richness, a rounded, opulent texture, beautiful mid-palate depth, and classic notes of lead pencil and tobacco. It's another balanced, impeccably made wine from this team that's well worth seeking out. It's up with some of the top values in the vintage.

Turnbull 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a blend of the Turnbull sites in Oakville. Succulent dark cherry, plum, spice, new leather licorice and tobacco give this plush Cabernet a good deal of complexity. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years, while the flavors remain bright. Lavender, raspberry, rose petal, spice, menthol and graphite linger. As is so often the case, the Reserve offers serious quality in its price range.
