Tasting notes
Moving to the three Carneros releases, the appellation 2018 Chardonnay Carneros offers a medium gold color (all of these are bottled unfined and have a touch of haze in the color, which is not a problem in any way) to go with a rich, powerful bouquet of Meyer lemons, caramelized citrus, toast, honeycomb, and toasted nuts. I love its texture, it's medium to full-bodied, has both freshness and richness, and a great finish. It's another powerful yet balanced, impeccably made Chardonnay.

The 2018 Chardonnay (Carneros) is a gorgeous entry-level wine in this range. Apricot, tangerine, mint, yellow flowers and light tropical notes all grace this soft, open-knit Chardonnay from Tor Kenward. The appellation wine is a blend of fruit from Hyde, Beresini and Durell.
The 2018 Chardonnay Napa Carneros wine is from three famous Chardonnay vineyards: 63% from Steve Beresini’s 30-year-old, dry-farmed heritage vines, 23% from Hyde vineyard and 14% from Durell vineyard. It sings of honey-drizzled peaches, honeydew melon and fresh guava with hints of cedar chest, orange blossoms and waxed lemons. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-filling stone fruit and savory flavors with a refreshing backbone and toasty kick to the finish. 470 cases were made.
