Tasting notes
The 1998 Syrah Napa's dark plum/purple color is followed by aromas of sweet cassis fruit, spicy oak, and underbrush offered in a lush, medium to full-bodied style emphasizing cassis fruit, smoke, and licorice. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 963-2745

Deep ruby. Highly aromatic, precise nose combines blackberry, bitter chocolate, violet, licorice and pepper. Dense but juicy in the mouth, thanks to harmonious framing acidity. Less gamey and more fruit-driven than usual for this wine. Finishes with smooth tannins and very good length. Showing very well today.
