Score 93/100 · Drink 2015-2035, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Feb 2015

From 100-year-old vines in a densely planted parcel of the cru, the 2012 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Halbtrocken Ur-Alte Reben was picked the last day of October and offers a rich but subtle, stony bouquet with aromas of wax, flint, peaches, nectarines and wild herbs. Lush and elegant on the palate, this full-bodied wine has loads of finesse and is superbly balanced and intense in its juicy and sweet fruitiness. This is a blockbuster, 12% alcohol and 23 grams per liter residual sugar Spätlese with great aging potential, although it is already extremely enjoyable.
