Picked at 93° Oechsle during the second week of October and tasted a day after filtration, the 2018 Dhroner Hofberg Riesling Trocken is ripe, deep and elegant on the intense, nicely flinty yet highly aromatic nose. On the palate, this golden-yellow Riesling is full-bodied and intense, fully ripe and lush, with mouth-filling fruit and crystalline acidity. This is a generous and intense Riesling with super ripe peach and nectarine notes in the finish, though it's still very reductive. Tasted in April 2019.
