Tasting notes
More lifted blue fruits, candied orange, dark chocolate, lead pencil, and tobacco notes emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Heimark Vineyard, which comes from a higher elevation vineyard located above Hourglass. It’s full-bodied and has ripe, building tannins as well as a beautifully layered profile. All Cabernet aged 22 months in 90% new French oak, it has a long life ahead of it.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Heimark Vineyard is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak barrels, 90% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, it stampedes out of the glass with pronounced scents of crushed blackberries, Morello cherries and black currant pastilles, plus hints of potpourri, violets and underbrush. Full-bodied, rich and jam-packed with densely laden black fruits, the palate is framed by plush tannins and lovely freshness, finishing long and spicy. 314 cases were made.
