Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2015

Pale, bright greenish yellow. Peach, nut oil and smoky hazelnut aromas are lifted by a limey note. Dense, glyceral and sweet but with the lemon and vanillin oak flavors nicely energized by orangey acidity. This broad, generous wine boasts a firm spine of acidity and minerality but the finish is still slightly bitter from a recent sulfur addition. (Boyer's Meursault Charmes was just finishing its sugar fermentation and was in an awkward oxidative stage.)
