Score 92/100 · Drink 2006-2018, Daniel Thomases, Wine Advocate, Apr 2006

The 2001 Stielle, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, is notably dark in color, tarry, smoky, and with rich notes of rosemary and graphite on the nose. Solid, long, and mineral, its flavors of mint and sweet berry fruit make this a very convincing effort. Drink: 2006-2018. Importer: Montecastelli Selections, New York, NY; tel. (212) 414-4898
