Tasting notes
Good full medium red. Riveting high-pitched perfume of raspberry, blood orange and rose petal. Sweet and creamy but at the same time fresh and delineated, with strong minerality and piquant Asian spices lifting the raspberry fruit. Silky in texture but with a magically light touch. Finishes vibrant and very long, with subtle perfume of strawberry and minerals. Very classy Echezeaux.

The 2010 Echezeaux emerges from the glass with freshly cut flowers, bright red berries and sweet spices. It is a gorgeous, beautifully balanced wine loaded with personality. A refined, floral finish rounds things out beautifully. Magnien’s Echezeaux is sourced from parcels in Pulayeres and Rouge du Bas. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030. Good deep red. Reduced nose offers redcurrant, red raspberry, mocha, earth and ginger. Broad and sweet on entry, then spicy and concentrated in the middle, conveying an impression of volume without weight. The dark berry and floral flavors carry through impressively on the finish, nicely supporting the wine's serious tannins.
