Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,360g. Pale lemon with a touch of gold. Far more savoury and fleshy than the Roserock Chardonnay 2022 – white peach and ripe apple alongside the lemony broad acidity. The palate is weightier with a creamy texture and a touch of oak spice to the finish. A nice contrast between the two. This would stand up better to richer food pairings. (SCJ)

The 2022 Chardonnay Arthur pours a bright straw hue and is a lovely, balanced wine offering aromas of fresh chamomile, pear, saline, and wet stone. Medium to full-bodied, it has lovely richness on the palate without being weighted, it has a nicely balanced length, and it’s incredibly versatile with a lot of value behind it. Drink this over the next 5-7 years.
The 2022 Chardonnay Arthur is soft and alluring on the nose with scents of apricot, cashews, beeswax, chamomile and flint. The medium-bodied palate is plush and inviting. It balances hedonistic, honeyed fruit with a satiny texture and shimmery acidity, and it has a very long finish.
