Tasting notes
Crunchy, with hints of white pepper to the mineral-inflected dried red fruit and spice flavors. Pomegranate and paprika details emerge on the taut finish.

Medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Mononi Vineyard has broody scents of blackberry and cranberry preserves, turned earth, toasted coconut, dried violets and mushroom powder. Medium-bodied, the palate offers up concentrated, ripe fruits with a grainy texture and good freshness, finishing long and perfumed.
The 2017 Pinot Noir Mononi Vineyard is a powerful wine that shows the more feral side of Russian River. Iron, blood, smoke, tobacco, red cherry and pomegranate come together in a wine that packs a serious punch, but is also a bit wild and gamy. The 2017 is an intriguing wine, but also very distinctive; this won't be everyone's cup of tea.
