Tasting notes
The real superstar is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Panek Vineyard, which has an opaque purple color, a scent of pen ink, notes of blackberry, blueberry and cassis along with some subtle background vanillin and baking spices, a wonderful floral note, and an opulent, full-bodied, multi-layered mouthfeel. The finish goes on for a good 45+ seconds. This is a stunner to drink now as well as over the next 20-25 years.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Panek Vineyard is broad, powerful and explosive. Dark red cherry, plum and mocha are all propelled by a spine of tannins that is a bit unusual for Panek, there the wines are often much more overt. There is plenty of richness and volume in the glass, but the tannins need time to integrate a bit more fully. (AG) 92+
