The 2020 Chardonnay Lolita Ranch has pretty scents of apricot, honey and almonds with touches of meringue, white pepper and jasmine. The light-bodied palate pairs a luxuriously creamy texture with focused acidity, boasts concentrated stone fruit flavors and has a long, mineral-driven finish. 227 cases were made.

The 2020 Chardonnay Lolita Ranch is bright and understated. Candied lemon peel, almond, dried flowers, chamomile and a hint of spice all develop in the glass. There is a bit of textural edginess, but that is the vintage speaking.

The 2020 Chardonnay Lolita Ranch pours a medium golden straw hue, and is lifted with fresh white flowers, ginger, lime, and ripe pear. Full-bodied, with tangy acidity and a light, pithy texture, its ripe orange, golden pineapple, and almond notes are followed by oak spices on the finish. Drink 2024-2030. One of the most historic names in Sonoma, the Martinellis are sixth-generation winegrowers based in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Prolific farmers, all of their wines come from estate-grown fruit, with 90% of the grapes sold off to other wineries. In addition to focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, they also produce Zinfandel, Syrah, and Muscat of Alexandria. Courtney Robinett Wagoner joined the team in 2015 as the assistant winemaker before being promoted to winemaker in 2017.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
