Tasting notes
The 2019 Chardonnay Lolita Ranch is ultra classy, offering bass tones of honeycomb and peaches and bright top notes of preserved citrus and spices. The medium-bodied palate boasts ripe, honeyed fruits refreshed by tangy acidity, and it finishes very long, mouth coating and über spicy. Its concentration and freshness suggest it will have a long life in the cellar.

The 2019 Chardonnay Lolita Ranch is a powerful, dense wine. Had I tasted it blind, I might have mistaken it for a red wine, such is its phenolic intensity. Apricot, peach, dried leaves, tobacco and crushed flowers give the Lolita Ranch quite a bit of character. This is an especially potent Chardonnay.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
