From old vines in the so-called Pichter, this was harvested at marginally higher must weight and lower acidity than its A.P. #5 or A.P. #6 siblings. On the nose, ripe kiwi and strawberry are subtly tinged with ground ginger and garlanded in musky, bittersweet iris perfume. The palate is delicate and silky, subtly glyceral yet brimming with fresh fruit juiciness reinforced by a squirt of lime. The superbly sustained finish offers an energetic interaction of fruity, floral and stony nuances.
