I don't think the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon matches what this estate has achieved in more recent vintages, but it's nevertheless a gorgeous wine and might have some upside. Revealing a youthful purple hue as well as terrific cassis and ripe black cherry fruits intermixed with lots of tobacco, cedar, forest floor, and subtle earthy nuances, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a balanced, elegant texture, and outstanding length. It has a good core of sweet fruit as well as notable freshness yet stays relatively compact on the palate. It offers plenty of pleasure today, but I'd give bottles another 2-4 years, and it should keep through 2038 with no issues.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This is a more structured, muscular, virile wine with plenty of tannin, cedar wood, blackcurrants, and good spice and earth. Give it several years of cellaring and drink it over the next 15+ years.
A gorgeous wine, the 2013 Marciano Estate has really come together since I tasted it last year. Black cherry, mocha, espresso, dark spices and new leather flesh out in the glass. Dark, powerful and enveloping, the 2013 captures the power and intensity of this site beautifully, with soft, sensual tannins that give the wine much of its immediacy and appeal. Today, the 2013 is a knockout.
