Score 89/100 · Drink 2016-2018, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jul 2016
Sojourn's 2014 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard shows the more delicate, gracious side of this site, where the wines tend to be more intense and phenolic. Apricot, lemon confit, almond, chamomile and herbs give the Durell much of its restrained personality.

The 2014 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard, which sees 40% new oak, comes from very old Wente clones of Chardonnay. The 2014 has a beautiful white currant, quince, tangerine oil and lemon blossom nose, medium to full-bodied flavors, slightly more complexity and concentration than the Sangiacomo, and a longer finish. This is a beauty to drink over the next 7-8 years.
