Score 94/100 · Drink 2022-2030, Jeb Dunnuck, Jul 2021

Another Sonoma Coast release, the 2019 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard displays a fresher, livelier style, offering lots of crushed citrus, lime, honeyed minerality, and floral nuances that carry to a medium-bodied, beautifully textured, seamless Chardonnay with a solid spine of acidity, good mid-palate depth, and a brilliant finish. It’s still tight and lively today, and I suspect it will benefit from 6-12 months of bottle age. It should evolve for a good 7-8 years, if not upwards of a decade.

Apricot, peach, spiced apple and brioche on the nose. It’s full-bodied with crisp acidity and concentrated, spiced layers. Bright, flavorful finish. Drink now or hold.
