Tasted from magnum (although the estimated cost provided is for a 750-milliliter bottle), Paradigm's 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Estate comes from the winery's estate vineyard on the southwestern border of the Oakville appellation. A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, all aged 20 months in French oak, it boasts seductive aromas of black cherries and cassis, plus ample cedar and vanilla. Rich, velvety and even a touch warm on the palate, it's open and opulent, ideal for drinking over the next decade or so.
