Score 87/100 · Drink 2019-2023, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2019
Full ruby-red. Roasted dark fruits and mocha on the rather musky, evolved nose. A generous, fleshy wine with a slightly herbaceous edge to its dark fruit flavors. Conveys some distinct advanced-fruit qualities as well as a medicinal element, with slightly peppery acidity giving the middle palate a disjointed impression. Ultimately a wine of moderate nuance and depth, this finishes slightly sour, with dusty tannins that are not too dominant. (13.9% alcohol)
