Tasting notes
The 2015 Pinot Noir Renatus shows all the aromatic intensity it did from barrel. Beautifully layered and supple on the palate, the 2015 exudes depth in its lush dark fruit. An infusion of black cherry, plum, new leather, spice, cola, mocha and menthol fleshes out on the palate, with more than enough depth to stand up to the lurking tannins. The Renatus is at once powerful and impeccable in its overall balance.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Renatus is the most aromatic and lifted of the four Dehlinger Pinots. Floral and spice notes make a strong first impression. Lithe on the palate, with good energy, the 2015 should drink well pretty much right out of the gate. The tannins are a bit coarse today, but that might just be some of the younger vine character coming through.
