Quite light, sweet start then a dry finish. Much tougher tannins than most Napa Cabs. Very aggressively 'French'! Or at least how French wines used to be... (JR)

This wine seems texturally deficient. With a clipped, tough finish, it is a relatively weak effort - at least if pleasure is your goal. (Not yet released) Tel. (707) 226-1395 and (800) MONDAVI; fax (707) 251-4386.

Bright medium ruby. Aromas of plum, black cherry, tobacco, spices and fresh herbs. Fresh and moderately ripe, with rather polite plum and currant flavors. A bit short on personality. Finishes with dusty tannins.
